C-TPAT Comments: The Purpose of C-TPAT’s Minimal Security Requirement Program: C-TPAT’s Minimum Security Criteria Program for members of the supply chain is part of the continuing evolution of the C-TPAT program to include supply chain sectors that add value to CBP’s efforts to protect the supply chain.
C-TPAT minimum security criteria are fundamentally designed to be the building blocks for members of any supply chain sector to institute effective security practices designed to optimize supply chain performance to mitigate the risk of loss, theft, and contraband smuggling that could potentially introduce dangerous elements into the global supply chain.
